Alex begint zich thuis te voelen in zijn nieuwe woning op het tropische eiland Euphoria, maar hij mist Kate enorm. Ze heeft niet gereageerd op de berichten die hij via duif heeft verstuurd, dus overtuigt Violet hem ervan dat ze Kate in persoon moeten gaan zoeken. Maar dat betekent terugreizen naar Kwaaiet, ondanks dat Alex daar verbannen is. Nog erger, ze kunnen tegen de Saaie Vogelbende aanlopen tijdens hun zoektocht.
