'The Missing Eye' is a fascinating story by the famous Russian writer, playwright and theater figure Mikhail Afanasyevich Bulgakov (1891–1940). A young doctor, recently graduated from university, successfully treats his patients - he operates, delivers babies, pulls teeth, and so on. But suddenly something strange begins to happen - he begins to make terrible mistakes, nothing works out, to the point that patients die through his fault... Mikhail Bulgakov gained fame and recognition from his works 'La Bohème', 'In the Cafe', 'The Red Crown', 'Memory', 'The Blizzard', 'Future Prospects', 'A Day of Our Lives', 'Diaboliad', 'Star Rash', 'On the Benefits of Alcoholism'. Many of Mikhail Bulgakov's works were banned by Soviet censorship, and this very fact characterizes him as a free-thinking person. His talent is admired by readers all over the world, his works have been translated into different languages and films have been made based on many of them.
