Sylvestar, der schwarze Kater aus Ötz, hat ein Problem. Eine Bande Wanderratten plündert die Vorräte der Dorfbewohner. Die Hausfrau Berta will ihn ins Tierheim bringen, wenn er die Ratten nicht fängt. Doch Sylvestar, der ehemalige Opernkater, fürchtet sich vor Mäusen und vor Ratten noch viel mehr. Alle Tiere in Ötz zählen auf die Hilfe des kleinen grünen Kobolts. Wird es ihm und dessen Freunden gelingen die Ratten zu verjagen? Eine Geschichte über Freundschaft, Vertrauen und Mut.
