'Sivagamiyin Sabadham' is a historical Tamil novel set in 7th century South India. The struggle for supremacy between the Chalukya Emperor, Pulikesi II, and the Pallava Emperor, Mahendra Varmar and at a later stage, his son, Narasimha Varmar, forms the core of the novel. அமரர் கல்கி எழுதிய அற்புத வரலாற்றுப் புதினம் 'சிவகாமியின் சபதம்'. பல்லவ சாம்ராஜ்யத்தினை நம் கண் முன்னே நிறுத்தும் அதிஅற்புத காவியம் இது. முதலாம் மகேந்திரவர்ம பல்லவன் அரசாண்ட காலத்தில் நடைபெற்ற சம்பவங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி எழுதப்பட்ட இந்தப் புதினத்தில் இளவரசன் முதலாம் நரசிம்ம பல்லவனுக்கு முக்கிய இடம் உண்டு. சிவகாமியின் சபதம் கதையானது காஞ்சியில் ஏற்பட்ட போர்ச் சூழலையும், அதன் தொடர்ச்சியாக சாளுக்ய நாட்டின் தலைநகர் வாதாபியின் மீது பல்லவர் போர்தொடுத்ததைப் பற்றியது.'
