Carly wuchs bei ihrer Tante Alissa auf. Niemand redete darüber, wie ihre Eltern ums Leben kamen. Der Tod war ebenso tabu wie alles, was mit dem Meer zusammenhängt. Gerade nach dem Meer aber sehnte sich Carly ihre ganze Kindheit hindurch.
