Bibi findet in im Garten vor ihrem Haus ein sehr verschmustes Kätzchen. Schon bald sind Bibi und "Schmusi" unzertrennlich. Bibi schläft heimlich bei dem Kätzchen im Schuppen und nimmt es sogar mit in die Schule. Doch dann muss sie sich von "Schmusi" trennen, denn der Junge, dem das Schmusekätzchen gehört, taucht plötzlich auf.
