Lars, der kleine Eisbär trifft am Nordpol auf Lena Schneehase, die in einer Schneegrube gefangen ist. Er hilft ihr aus der Not und beide wandern zur Polarstation. Dort gerät Lars in Gefahr und wird von Lena gerettet. Zusammen folgen sie dem Polarstern und finden den Weg zurück nach Hause. Dort angekommen werden sie herzlich von Mama und Papa Eisbär empfangen.
