Dies ist die Geschichte eines Mannes um die dreißig, der auf dem Weg aus der westdeutschen Provinz in die Szene-Quartiere der Hauptstadt wenig tut, aber viel mitmacht. Der seine Umwelt beobachtet, sie bissig kommentiert und im Übrigen an sich und der Welt leidet. So einer passt nach Berlin, denn Berlin heißt: Endloses Gerede, viel Durst, vager Durchblick, kein Plan. Keine Arbeit sowieso, dafür ab und zu Altbau-Parties, bei denen auch schon mal jemand vom Dach fällt. Doch dann widerfährt unserem Helden ein Missgeschick: Er verliebt sich.
