Die Familie Hansen, ein Künstlerhaushalt bestehend aus Omi, Vati, Mutti und den drei Kindern Claudia , Tom und Christine, lebt in der Stadt. Als Omi zu ihnen zieht, wird in ein Haus am Stadtrand umgezogen. Damit beginnen die Probleme, wie längere Anfahrt zur Arbeit, Autokauf usw.
