The Adventure of Musgrave Ritual is a gripping short story by the Irish-born English writer Arthur Conan Doyle. Reginald Musgrave finds his butler reading an old family document called The Musgrave Ritual. The butler begs the owner to let him resign himself, gets consent, but the next day disappears without warning, without even taking histhings. Following him, the maid, with whomthe butler once had an affair, also disappears. Maisgrave asks Sherlock Holmes to solve the mystery of the mysterious disappearances.
