The revealed holy text spans 1,430 pages and contains the actual words spoken by the founders of the Sikh religion (Six of the Ten Gurus of Sikhism). The Sikh Gurus incorporated not only their own writings, but also included the writings of another 30 saints from different religions, places and times. These songs are set to 31 different musical scales, called ragas, that evoke the feelings of different times of day, different emotions and the seasons of the year.
