Als Dolfje wakker wordt, is het donker. De maan schijnt in zijn kamer. Het is een bijzondere nacht. Zeven, denkt Dolfje. Eindelijk ben ik zeven jaar. Dan schrikt hij zich rot. Hij ziet opeens overal haar. Zijn handen en voeten zijn poten geworden. En hij heeft een staart. Dan komt Timmie binnen. 'Ik wil dit niet,' gromt Dolfje. 'Misschien gaat het vanzelf wel over,' zegt Timmie. 'Jij hebt makkelijk praten,' gromt Dolfje. 'En als het niet overgaat? Wat dan?'
