Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson received a highly sensitive letter from Turin. The venerable Cardinal Maurilio Fassati personally requested the master detective's help in an extremely delicate matter. The Shroud of Turin had been stolen from the Chapel of the Holy Shroud in the Cathedral! And just before Easter! A disaster! Holmes and Watson decided to depart immediately. Upon arriving in Turin, Holmes and Watson made their way straight to speak with Cardinal Fassati. It emerged that only three people possessed a key to the Shroud Chapel. The Cardinal himself and two of his closest confidants, the elderly Pastor Spina and a younger pastor named Milani. As Watson went out for an evening walk with his dog, he made a discovery in the park. He stumbled upon the Shroud of Turin. The case appeared to be solved, but additional duplicates of the missing shroud quickly emerged.
