Frank Geissler glaubt an einen Scherz, als er die Website aufruft: Ein Mann, nackt, am Boden festgekettet, in Todesangst. Daneben ein Käfig voller Ratten, unruhig, ausgehungert. Frank kann den Mann retten, heißt es. Aber nur wenn er Teil des "Spiels" wird und seine erste Aufgabe erfüllt. Angewidert schließt er die Website, doch kurz darauf ist der Mann tot. Und Frank schon mittendrin. Mittendrin in einem Spiel, das ihn in einen Atombunker in der Eifel führt. Einem Spiel, bei dem es um Leben und Tod geht - für Frank, für seine Frau. Und für seine Tochter...
