అడవి బాపిరాజు (1895 - 1952) కవి, చిత్రకారుడు, శిల్పి, కథకుడు, నవలా రచయిత, గాయకుడు, పత్రికా సంపాదకుడు, కళాదర్శకుడు, జాతీయోద్యమ యోధుడు, ఆచార్యుడు. కాల్పనికోద్యమకాలంలో బాపిరాజు ఇటు తెలుగు కవిత్వాన్నీ, సృజనాత్మక వచన రచనలనూ కొత్త పుంతలు తొక్కించాడు, అటు ఆంధ్రజాతి ప్రాచీన వైభవాన్ని మహోజ్జ్వలంగా దీపింపజేసి జాతీయోద్యమ స్ఫూర్తిని రగిలించాడు. ఆంధ్రత్వం మూర్తీభవించిన బాపిరాజు చారిత్రకనవలా రచనలో తనదంటూ ప్రత్యేక స్థానాన్ని నిర్మించుకున్నాడు. అడవి బాపిరాజు గారి నవలలో 'అడవి శాంతిశ్రీ' ముఖ్యమైనది. Adavi Bapiraju (1895 - 1952) is a poet, painter, sculptor, novelist, singer, editor, aesthetician, freedom fighter, and scholar extraordinaire. He was the foremost writer of the Romantic movement in Telugu. His prose and poetry took writing in Telugu to new heights. He ignited the spirit of the Andhra movement with his literature and contributed to the Indian National Movement. His historical novels stand out as great testimonies for Andhra-ness. The novel 'Adavi Santisri' is one such great novel by Adavi Bapiraju.
