The Book of Lamentations follows the Book of Jeremiah in the Christian Old Testament, and consists of five poems. The first poem laments for the siege and destruction of Jerusalem; the second describes the sorrow in connection with sin and God's will; the third considers better days to come; the fourth expresses sorrow towards the ruined city and temple, but traces it back to sin; and the fifth is a prayer with four lessons for overcoming sin, melancholy, and loss... This book is beautifully voiced by The Bible Reading Collective...
