Mit nordischem Charme und Witz begeben sich der Borkumer Hauptkommissar Arne Brekewoldt und die Juister Kinderärztin Nele Röwekamp auf die Spur des Verbrechens.
Auf der ostfriesischen Insel Borkum findet ein Kleinkunstfestival statt, zu dem Kommissar Brekewoldt auch die befreundete Kinderärztin Nele Röwekamp einlädt. Aus dem entspannten Wochenende wird jedoch nichts. Bereits am nächsten Morgen wird im Watt eine Leiche entdeckt. Nele und der Kommissar ermitteln gemeinsam und müssen feststellen, dass für die Tat gleich eine ganze Reihe Verdächtiger infrage kommt.
