Ein Bankraub in der Filiale Cox & Co. Der Tresor wird komplett leer geräumt. Doch wie Inspektor Lestrade bereits richtig feststellt, wurde er nicht etwa gesprengt, sondern mit einem Schlüssel aufgesperrt. Einen Schlüssel besitzt der Bankdirekter Mr. Impey selbst, den zweiten Schlüssel hat sein Stellvertreter Richard Addleton.
