In einem fernen Zauberreich verändert sich das Leben der kleinen Sofia, als ihre Mutter König Roland den Zweiten heiratet. Aus einem einfachen Dorfmädchen wird eine Prinzessin. Das Leben im Schloss ist allerdings nicht einfach, aber die Märchenfeen Flora, Fauna und Sonnenschein lehren Sofia, wie sich eine Prinzessin zu verhalten hat. Nur schade, dass Sofias Stiefschwester, Prinzessin Amber, eifersu?chtig ist und sich gar nicht königlich verhält. Zum Glu?ck ist der König ein liebevoller Vater und schenkt seiner neuen Tochter ein magisches Amulett. Das weckt jedoch das Interesse des bösen Hofzauberers Cedric.
