In der Münchner Sternbrauerei wird kurz vor dem Oktoberfest ein Mitarbeiter brutal ermordet. Der 'Sanktus', ein Bierbrauer, Expolizist und Original-Münchner, versucht, den Mörder seines Freundes zu finden. Unterstützt wird er dabei von seinen ehemaligen Brauerkollegen und der Tochter des Brauereidirektors, Sanktus' Jugendliebe. Seine abenteuerliche Recherche leitet ihn quer durch die facettenreiche Isarmetropole, auf das Oktoberfest und tief hinein in die nicht ganz so heile Welt der Münchner Bierbrauer.
