Lars, der kleine Eisbär findet am Nordpol den kleinen Schlittenhund Nanuk, der seine Mama verloren hat. Lars verspricht ihm, seine Mama zu finden. Auf der Suche retten sie sich vor einigen Jägern und gelangen in den Hafen einer fernen Stadt. Dort trifft Nanuk seine Mama wieder und die beiden bringen Lars nach Hause, wo er bereits sehnsüchtig erwartet wird.
